Cegeka Arena Tickets

Experience world-class events at Cegeka Arena!

The Cegeka Arena — situated in Belgium's industrious eastern province of Limburg — made its first appearance in the European football scene in 1990 as a direct answer to the love for the beautiful game in this part of the world. It is an architectural landmark for Belgian football, standing in intimate yet imposing glory at the edge of the province's largest city. The arena mixes modern facilities with a sense of proximity that makes every fan feel like they are, in some way, a part of the action on the pitch. They feel, more than anything else, that they have some stake in the results that come at the end of matches. Whether you are an ardent devotee of KRC Genk, an occasional derby fan, or someone drawn by the arena's notorious acoustics, the arena is a place that offers excellent sightlines, a reverberating atmosphere, and just an honest-to-goodness good time at the football.

The venue boasts cutting-edge lighting systems, video displays with stunning resolution, and acoustically refined open spaces that ensure every event happens with the highest possible technical quality. The ease and comfort of the venue's internal flow — what the architects call its "urban integration" — is matched by the way the structure itself makes it easy to feel part of a crowd, part of a shared experience. Ticombo, which is a direct marketplace for event tickets, operates as a thoroughly curated platform that allows a direct connection between buyers and sellers. This allows for two things. One, it permits the payment of a fair price for a ticket (which, it should be noted, is not quite as unregulated by the market as some would have you believe). And two, it allows for the very important business of making sure that the tickets are real.

About Cegeka Arena

Cegeka Arena History

The history of Cegeka Arena can be traced back to the early '90s when KRC Genk was surging and aiming to build an arena that would enable it to compete on the next levels of European football. The club initiated the vision of the stadium when it was doing well during the late '80s and keeping pace with teams like Antwerp. In 1990, the club opened the stadium, and it has since undergone a number of remodels and refurbishments that make it visually stunning and structurally sound. Clubs playing against KRC Genk have to do so in what has been described as a "fortress" because of the noise generated in support of the home team by a configuration of seating and by a structure that also serendipitously has good acoustics.

Cegeka Arena Facts and Figures

• Capacity: 23,718 spectators, making it one of the larger venues in Belgium, while its size allows for an intimate feeling inside the stadium.
• Configuration: A seamless bowl layout that optimizes sightlines from every tier, with four distinct stands that encircle the pitch.
• Acoustic Design: Designed to amplify crowd noise, which makes for an inhospitable place for opposing teams to play.
• Architecture: Modern, functional forms, with a sleek façade and extensive glazing, mostly shelters the seating while still allowing free ventilation, even to the row right under the overhang at the top of the stands.
• Pitch: The size and the hybrid grass surface balance the need for durability with the desire for the best possible playing conditions.
• Corporate Hospitality: Has a variety of opportunities for dining and wining corporate guests — everything from lounges and executive suites to rooms where you can hold a conference that would be suitable for anything shy of a presidential nominee.
• Media Zones: With facilities that rank along with the best in Belgium, the only visible shortcoming for reporters and other media folk is the lack of a decent supply of food and drink, as the pressroom is dry.
• Player Facilities: The locker room gigantic (by a football player's standards), and filled with a high-tech, top-class home security system that would protect the whole neighborhood if any of them were to go AWOL.

The VIP hospitality boxes come together to combine luxury with what is probably the best and most strategically positioned seating in the entire arena. This is a viewing experience for which no expense has been spared, and it is conducted in an ambience as close to that of a fine restaurant as one is ever likely to find within a sporting venue; the catering is elite, the views are completely unobstructed, and the setting is designed to ensure that one can comfortably witness the result of every one of the pitch's tactical battles that unfold in the arena's central expanse.

Cegeka Arena managers are so certain about the sellout potential of the Corporate Tier that they have made the bold invitation for fans to occupy the space above the pitch a semi-annual one. When in use, the Corporate Tier only permits those who have rented out the space to enter and exit the ticketholders' lounge and restrooms; during non-match hours, the almost million-euro food-service kitchen is pretty much the only thing going on in either half of the stands flanking midfield.

A drop-off area is designated for passengers who prefer to be taken directly to the pre-match entry points. This enhances the flow of fans who choose to enter through the entry gates. Parking regulations are strictly enforced, and vehicles found parked in non-designated areas are liable to be towed. The arena's parking spaces serve as a gathering area before the match, where fans partake in spontaneous displays of pre-match brotherhood and sisterhood that might involve the singing of team anthems or the chanting of lines like "We will, we will rock you!" or "Death to the enemy!" that warm up the matchup.
