Sunderland AFC vs Manchester City FC is a Premier League football match scheduled for 30 D...
The cathedral of Manchester sport gleams by the week as dreams of football come alive. There is no safer place to see Manchester City football than at Etihad Stadium, the home of the Premier League and, once again, English football in general. Quite the evolution, right? It begins modestly, backstage, with its very own open-air museum. This stadium from a different era electrifies from its exterior — the facade featuring the names of every player to have donned the Manchester City shirt. What a sight.
Earning the right to watch matches at the Etihad gives you the opportunity to feel the unique atmosphere at elite football games. You could be there for a Premier League match and witness the tactics of top-tier football being played out in front of you. Or, you could see a European concert in the venue, world-renowned for both its singing and its impressive acoustics.
The stadium, built originally for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, changed quickly into a football-first place, echoing the way Manchester City has shot upward to global respect under today's owners. For the serious sports follower or the devoted music fan, nothing matches being one of 55,000 people when a bank by the River Medlock gets blown. With Ticombo's marketplace you can be sure of buying not fake tickets but actual ones for some of the shows and matches that will make 2020 memorable.
Cross the turnstiles, and you step into a space where even mundane moments morph into the stuff of memory. The atmosphere — vivid and immersive — captures you instantly. When the players for Manchester City burst into view to thunderous ovations and "Blue Moon," even spectators with no stake in the game feel the anticipation in the air.
The innovative design of the stadium ensures that sightlines are excellent from nearly every area and that one can see, in almost crystal clear detail, iconic goals, key saves, and last-minute victories. Acoustics also play a big part in the atmosphere, which the collective roar has made oh-so-charged and quite possibly buoying Manchester City to many home triumphs.
Etihad Stadium more than hosts normal league matches. Nights in the Champions League exude a special energy, amplified by teams from across Europe that are regularly found at the business end of UEFA's competition. The 2018/19 Premier League season saw the stadium's very own Manchester City rewrite the history books with its Derby counterpart, not just for the number of times it won the trophy but for the concert experiences it provided in the summer months.
In today's ticket landscape, security is key — Ticombo ensures that every Etihad Stadium ticket is not only covered but also reliable. Each ticket is guaranteed to be genuine, making it a far safer option than the secondary-market purchases that so many make.
Every listing appears in our marketplace only after we have rigorously checked it. Credentials that are validated allow for smooth entry to your event when you receive your tickets.
Authentication is just the first step in ensuring security. Ticombo offers multiple channels for customer support and responsive service so that any problems that arise can be swiftly dealt with.
Central is financial security. Our platform guarantees payments that are secure, procedures that are transparent, and defenses against unauthorized charges, allowing you to concentrate on the real reason we're all here: enjoying sports and entertainment at one of England's premier venues.

The centerpiece of the 2002 Commonwealth Games was Etihad Stadium, designed for athletics and featuring a running track that encircled its field. After the Games, the stadium was transformed into a football-specific venue and welcomed Manchester City in 2003 after it underwent a major reconfiguration that brought fans closer to the action on the pitch.
The stadium was named Etihad Stadium in 2011 due to sponsorship. This was also the time when Manchester City was heavily investing in the team and winning lots of trophies. They have since expanded the stadium, most recently with a South Stand extension in 2015.
At present, the Etihad Stadium has a capacity of 55,097, ranking it fifth in the Premier League and tenth in the UK. The round structure of the arena is approximately 750 meters in circumference. The pitch is 105x68 meters and designed for a superior soccer experience.
One-of-a-kind roofing; suspension cables providing unobstructed long-distance views of game activity, combined with acoustics strong enough to make the place really shake when the home team is given a rousing cheer. The surroundings — that is, the whole 200 acres — also include the City Football Academy and community sports facilities.
Choosing the best place to sit can take your experience to the next level. From a tactical perspective, East Stand blocks 313 and 344 are prime real estate, giving an unparalleled and unobstructed sightline to the way Manchester City plays when they're at home. If you're the sort of person who really gets off on the atmosphere, the South Stand is where you want to be, particularly in sections 111-114, where not just passion but also human-to-human crowd energy reaches terrifyingly beautiful highs.
The Family Stand in the East Stand's lower section is a popular choice for families. It combines a youthful, relaxed atmosphere with the kind of views that are generally good, bordering on great. For concerts, if you want to feel close to the action, you can't go wrong with the golden circle. For a clear view that also offers the kind of "well, this is a huge production, isn't it?" distance that lets you take in all the impressive details, sit in one of the central 203-206 blocks.
The design of the Etihad Stadium bowl allows three continuous levels of viewing: lower, middle, and upper. They each have their own distinct sightlines and price points. Navigation within the stadium is made simple; the stands are color-coded, and the numbers on the seats are in a standard format, which makes them easy to read. The southeast corner is where away fans typically get placed (sections 114-118). It's a pretty nice view, located as it is right next to the middle-tier area with hospitality suites.
For concerts, seating arrangements are changed, with added options for standing and extra-pitched seating near the stage for those shows where the demand is so high that you can't even get a seat.
To park at Etihad Stadium for major events requires strategic foresight, nearly as much as to attending the events themselves. The officially sanctioned lots fill up quickly. Parking at the stadium cannot be handled in the same spontaneous manner as buying a ticket to the event itself on the day of. Blue badge holders can pre-book accessible spaces at Gate 7, nearest to accessible entrances.
For special occasions, additional far-flung lots become available, and there are even more choices of private facilities if you want to park much closer to an event. On some days, it's just as quick and a better deal to park on the private side, in my experience.
The various methods of transport available make getting to Etihad Stadium easy for anyone in Manchester. For a passenger in any downtown hotel, the Metrolink tram takes just 10-15 minutes from city center to Etihad Campus station, which is a short walk from the ground. Those about to board the bus can choose from six different routes (53, 76, 216, 219, 230, and 231), all of which end very near the stadium.
Those coming by train can alight at Ashburys station, then walk 15 minutes to the venue. Alternatively, they can take a tram from Piccadilly, the city's main rail hub. Trams run every few minutes, and the ride takes about 15 minutes. Walking from the city center takes about 25-30 minutes and uses safe, well-marked routes.

Prices for tickets to events at the Etihad Stadium vary, of course, depending on the event, the layout of the seating, and fan demand. For Premier League matches, expect £40 for standard upper-tier seats up to £150+ for premium areas at top matches. Tickets for cup matches usually cost less, while Champions League fixtures command higher prices. Season tickets offer significant discounts overall.
Concert prices are set according to the artist and the nature of the performance, with the major acts usually falling in the range of £65 to £150, depending on how close you are to the actual performance. The secondary market — the one where we mostly buy and sell our concert tickets — is a real-time marketplace where demand can shift minute to minute, sometimes exceeding face value for popular events, or dropping below it for less in-demand fixtures.
Etihad Stadium can host 55,097 football fans when matches are played. This makes it the fifth-largest venue in England's Premier League. For music concerts, though, space on the floor eases the number of attendees close to 60,000. Some reports say that figure isn't always accurate because UEFA competitions might not allow increased capacity.
The stadium could grow to about 61,000 seats via further North Stand development, although plans to do so remain unrealized.
