Weserstadion Tickets
Experience world-class events at Weserstadion!
Since 1926, the silhouette of the Weser Stadium has dominated the northern horizon of the city. With a capacity of 42,000, the stadium can easily seat half the population of Bremen. Officially, the stadium is a "multifunctional" arena, though it's mostly used for two very big functions: football and concerts. The Weser Stadium, however, was never meant to be purely functional. It's a glorious public space, where appearances are as important as anything else.

About Weserstadion
Weserstadion History
The genesis of the Weserstadion was in 1926 when architects first conceived of an arena as a modest but elegant venue for athletic contests. They located it on the banks of the river Weser, where, apart from the historic domed roof of the 1940s and the 1950s, the venue remained rather nondescript. Developers ensured that every intervention at Weserstadion preserved both the stadium's character and its basis for intimacy while also enhancing its contemporary feel, meaning that those young and old who visit the arena — on matchdays and otherwise — walk away feeling that they have invested themselves in an eternal yet supremely sophisticated stadium.
Weserstadion Facts and Figures
Weserstadion accommodates 42,000 devoted citizens of the river city's longstanding public athletic theater. Its inclined bowl seating puts them in an optimal field-viewing position no matter where they decide to, or can afford to, sit on any of its four levels — a configuration that lends itself to the overall feel of intimacy. The stadium keeps the audience together as a single visual unit looking at the field of play. Supporter zones, traditionally the South Stand, boost chants and communal singing and immerse visitors in the authentic fan culture that is Werder Bremen's identity.
Weserstadion Seating Guide
Best seats at Weserstadion
The inclined lower bowl and front rows deliver the best possible connection to on-field events and the collective energy of home supporters. Supporter zones — especially the South Stand — are where chants and communal singing create the stadium's intense atmosphere. These areas produce the "I belong here" feeling many fans describe, while premium and hospitality areas offer more comfortable, service-oriented experiences.
Weserstadion Seating Chart
The stadium's seating chart resembles a finely crafted puzzle:
- The lower bowl (Sections 1-10) is mostly occupied by home supporters; rows in these sections deliver the best possible connection to on-field events.
- The mid-tier (Sections 11-20) is fairly balanced between home and away fans; this tier offers a panoramic view that's ideal for couch-potato wannabes who want to better understand the tactics involved in the gorgeous game while remaining close to the collective energy radiating from the stands.
- Occupying the upper terrace (Sections 21-30) makes you feel like you're about to nosedive into the lap of a crazy drummer, but from a nosebleed kind of vantage point that still offers a commanding view of the field and the spectacular skyline of Bremen beyond.
- It's where the "VIPs" come to play but can't quite escape the law of the crowd or the democracy of the experience: three "premium box" areas are built into all three tiers of the stadium, and the upper half of the north and east sides of the stadium have long featured hospitality areas.
