On 14 September 2026 Karpe announced their final tour, KARPE (DIEM) – OVERTIME/OVERKILL (2000–2028). On the poster, the words "null comeback" are written in red. Tickets for the entire tour, promoted by Live Nation Norway, will be on sale on Thursday, September 17 from 09:00.
Karpe will perform at seven Norwegian festivals between June and August 2027:
In the spring of 2028, the duo will perform 17 times in 13 Norwegian cities. These will be the smallest venues the rap stars have performed in during the last 15 years:
On June 12, the duo will perform at Lambertseter Youth Club in the outskirts of Oslo. This will be the duo's last performance before the arena concerts in Oslo in the summer of 2028.
After the farewell tour through smaller Norwegian cities, Karpe will perform eleven concerts in Oslo. The duo will take the stage at Oslo Spektrum starting July 29 and continue until August 2028:
In 2026, the duo hinted at retirement. They posted the sentence "Vi legger opp" on Instagram, which means "We are retiring". They have since renamed the duo's Instagram account karpe_di.end.
Founded in 2000 by Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel, the Oslo-based rap duo Karpe is Norway's biggest musical export. The pair have topped Norwegian music history, released album after album and gone on to sell out Oslo Spektrum for ten consecutive nights back in 2022.
The duo's name comes from the Latin phrase "Carpe diem", which means seize the day. The duo made a name for themselves for their blunt and culturally and socially conscious lyrics. These include "Påfugl" and "Hvite menn som pusher 50," or, White men pushing 50. Abdelmaguid and Patel met at a school in Oslo. Over time, Karpe became one of Norway's biggest acts. But, rather than following the path of many acts who scale up as they become more and more popular, Patel has been clear about his desire to keep Karpe somewhat under wraps. That sentiment is reflected in the duo's final tour. As Patel put it, they will be performing in venues that people might think they've outgrown.
Tickets for all tour dates will be available simultaneously. Tickets for Karpe's farewell tour will be available on Thursday, September 17 starting at 9.
Karpe Tickets Karpe are back, and then they are not. On 14 September, Norwegian rap duo Karpe announced their final shows in what has been one of the most impressive careers in pop.
Karpe will be playing festivals in 2027, a barrage of small-scale club shows across Norway in 2028, including at a brewery and a youth club, and a whopping eleven nights at Oslo Spektrum filling out the rest of August.
This will be a farewell in every sense of the word. As the band wrote on Instagram, it's the "null comeback" tour. The post included the hashtags "Vi legger opp" ("We're hanging it up") and karpe_di.end, as Karpe started out in 2000 as Karpe Diem.
In 2027 there will be Karpe tickets for one-day festival passes as well as tickets for the full festival weekend.
In 2028, Karpe will be playing small-scale shows at various culture venues across Norway, with tickets available per show. Some of the venues include a brewery and a youth club in Oslo. The majority of these will be played at venues with a capacity in the hundreds, not thousands.
There are also Karpe Tickets for their eleven nights at Oslo Spektrum in August 2028, a bigger venue with a seated and standing capacity of around 10,000. These will likely have the biggest ticket release of the tour.
All the tickets were released at the same time. There was a newsletter presale from Tuesday 15 September and a presale on Wednesday 16 September from 10:00. General sale started on Thursday 17 September from 09:00 and you can read more about the shows and find links to tickets for each date at karpe4life.no and via Ticketmaster here.
If you couldn't snag your own ticket, Ticombo has plenty of Karpe Tickets available from fans, plus other tickets from verified sellers. Norway's biggest act of all-time are putting on a befitting finale to their career. In 2022 Karpe sold-out a whopping ten nights at Oslo Spektrum. And later that summer, their own KARPE WORLD festival at Oslo's Ekebergsletta saw more than 100,000 people over three days with all dates selling-out.
Released in 2016, Heisann Montebello saw Karpe refining their sound and lyrical approach to deliver some of their most enduring songs. Tracks like "Påfugl," "Hvite menn som pusher 50," and the title track are some of the duo's biggest, most culturally-referenced songs.
The title of the band's 2019 album might be polarizing, but it's hard to go past some of the tracks. Standout cuts "Lett å være rebell i kjellerleiligheten din" and "Toyota'n til Magdi" are classics of Norwegian hip-hop and Karpe songs.
Karpe's most recent album is another showcase of the duo's ability to address social topics head-on. A standout track is the aforementioned "Vi legger oss," another song that has become an instant classic.
Karpe might be Norway's biggest act ever, but the duo have always had an element of resisting conventionality and scaling-up their career. And it seems that ethos will continue into their final bow. While there will be big shows at festivals and an eleven-date run at Oslo's 10,000-capacity Spektrum arena, much of this final tour will happen in tiny venues in towns across Norway.
This should make for an extremely intimate experience with Karpe that is completely different from seeing them in arenas or festivals. Expect to be closer to the action and stage than ever before, which will make tickets harder to get hold of, considering that three Bergen club dates earlier this year saw 3,750 tickets sell-out in less than 10 minutes.
Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Chirag Rashmikant Patel's Karpe started out in 2000 after they met at school in Oslo and have gone on to become Norway's biggest act ever with an undeniable cultural impact. Tickets for Karpe's final tour will likely be extremely hard to get hold of, especially the intimate club dates. Find yours from fans on Ticombo right now.
