The stadium is approximately 10 km from King Abdulaziz International Airport, which is served by a multitude of international airlines. There are airport taxis available, and since our hotel was at the central Jeddah waterfront, it was an easy enough trip to the stadium. When you land in Jeddah, you have a couple of basic choices for getting to the stadium. Shuttles leave from the airport, and you can also book a taxi in advance. But if you want a sure bet for event access and to avoid the potential entrance bottleneck, park at the stadium. The complex is home to a five-story parking structure that can accommodate more than 5,000 vehicles. There's a real-time display outside the entry that indicates how full the structure is; as a bonus, it's a kind of countdown to the start of the event you're about to see. The structure is attached to the stadium, so when you emerge from the car, you're already very close to going in.
