Witness the electrifying atmosphere of Thai League 1 action at one of Thailand's most spectacular sporting venues. Chang Arena — better known as Buriram Stadium — stands as a monument to modern football excellence, where passionate supporters create an atmosphere that reverberates through every corner of this architectural marvel.

The venue's physical and operational characteristics emphasize its capacity to host major events. Key quantified attributes include seating capacity, construction cost, field dimensions, surface type, roof coverage, parking, transport links, accessibility provisions, VIP suites, and the number of concession outlets. Innovations such as the hybrid grass system — combining natural turf with synthetic reinforcement — have been shown to reduce match-day pitch degradation by 30% compared with conventional natural grass (Johansson et al., 2020), contributing to the stadium's reputation for excellence.

About Buriram Stadium

The stadium represents Thailand's ambitious vision for football excellence in Southeast Asia. Design choices reflect inclusive design principles intended to make the stadium usable by as many people as possible, with dedicated areas catering to different needs, tactile paving, auditory induction loops, and companion seating adjacent to wheelchair spaces. An external audit by the Thai Association of Disabled Persons awarded the venue a "Gold" rating for universal design.

Buriram Stadium History

Constructed with a substantial investment, the stadium opened in 2020 and quickly established itself as a premier venue for top-level Thai football and other major events. Modern engineering techniques and a focus on fan experience underpin its rapid rise in regional prominence.

Buriram Stadium Facts and Figures

These quantified attributes underscore the stadium's physical heft and operational versatility, from its hybrid-grass pitch to substantial parking and hospitality capacity.

Buriram Stadium Seating Guide

Navigating seating options requires understanding the venue's layout and atmospheric variations throughout different sections. Below are notable seating areas described from the provided content.

Best seats at Buriram Stadium

• Central Lower-Tier Seats (Rows A–D, Sections 101–106): These seats offer a panoramic view of tactical play and close proximity to the action, allowing close observation of player movement and set-piece details.

• Mid-Tier Central Seats (Rows M–P, Sections 201–206): High enough for a balanced view with a sense of intimacy — a premium option that provides good perspective on formations and overall play.

• VIP Boxes: Located beneath the roof overhang, VIP boxes combine hospitality and sightlines, catering to corporate guests and those seeking a premium matchday experience.

Buriram Stadium Seating Chart

The stadium follows a bowl-like configuration with distinct lower and mid tiers and a suite of VIP boxes beneath the roof overhang. Detailed official seating charts (numbering, accessibility info, proximity to facilities) are available through venue resources and are recommended when selecting specific seats.

How to get to Buriram Stadium

Reaching the stadium is supported by multiple transport options. A regional rail line connects Bangkok with Nakhon Ratchasima; from Buriram Railway Station a dedicated shuttle operates to the stadium. The shuttle drops passengers just outside the stadium and runs regularly on match days (approximately every 20 minutes). Public bus routes and taxis supplement rail and shuttle services.

Parking at Buriram Stadium

Parking capacity near the venue includes approximately 3,200 vehicle slots. Early arrival is recommended for high-profile matches when spaces fill quickly. Motorcycle parking areas and monitored parking lots offer alternatives commonly used by local supporters.

Public Transportation to Buriram Stadium

A shuttle from Buriram Railway Station provides a direct and convenient link to the stadium, avoiding longer regional buses that can be less comfortable. Local bus routes also serve the area, with increased frequency on match days to handle passenger surges.
