Elland Road Tickets

Experience world-class events at Elland Road!

Leeds is a city like no other, and in its very center beats the heart of Yorkshire's football. Elland Road is a cathedral for fans. You can sit in the Kop and see the whole pitch, or from the middle of the East Stand, be privy to all the action that Leeds can make. And trust me when I say, the Leeds players can make some action — this isn't a team used to just sitting back and absorbing pressure. (If it were, they might not be so good at playing long balls, which they do, which you can hardly believe, given the snatches of control they show sometimes.) Whether it's at home or away, when Leeds plays, Leeds fans are never far from a stage on which Yorkshire can make its own footballing noise.

The unmistakable roar of the stadium and its electric atmosphere are something that a TV screen just cannot match.

Join me as I step into Elland Road and participate in a tradition that stretches back generations. Its unique character creates the perfect narrative for an atmosphere that visiting teams respect and fear.

Whether you're a Leeds United supporter to the max or just a sports nut who wants to take in one of the most electric atmospheres in England, you can bet that Elland Road tickets will bring you some unforgettable moments. Don't just witness history being made from a distance — be there to write the next chapter at this storied Yorkshire venue.

About Elland Road

Elland Road History

The journey of Elland Road started in 1897, but it became the spiritual home of Leeds United in 1919 when the club took up full-time residence. This storied stadium has seen over a century of sporting successes and drama, with its Yorkshire foundations echoing countless roars.

The facility developed in parallel with English soccer, from standing-room terraces to all-seat configurations. Elland Road became entwined with Don Revie's legendary Leeds side of the late 1960s and early 1970s, securing its spot among football's most intimidating venues.

In 1965, Elland Road had its first match on television, and it played a very important part in Euro 96. Consistently, Leeds followers have been able to count on Elland Road as their constant amid football's rapidly changing world — a home, if you will. Even when the football club struggled, Elland Road always stayed here, at least for the people who go there.

Elland Road Facts and Figures

Elland Road has a seating capacity of around 38,000. It is a rectangular arena with four stands of individual character, each with its own unique atmosphere. That is how the grounds of Leeds United feel to the players who perform there.

The East Stand is the architectural centerpiece of the stadium — a three-tiered structure that houses most corporate facilities. The South Stand (formerly 'the Cheese Wedge') offers an intimate atmosphere, putting fans close to the action. The North and West stands complete this fortress-like ground, adding to the legendary matchday noise.

Leeds United do not occupy Elland Road alone. International matches, rugby contests, and concerts by U2 and Queen populate the stage for a semi-permanent home that sees more than just 20,000 hard-core fans. The plan, still on the drawing board, looks to add about 30,000 new seats and all the necessary modern accouterments to bring the place into line with what is expected of a contemporary cathedral of football.

Elland Road Seating Guide

Best seats at Elland Road

Selecting the optimal sightline at Elland Road hinges on your personal tastes. The North Stand typically furnishes the most expansive angle of view, allowing spectators to fully appreciate the club's tactical guise as well as the odd moment of pure football genius. North Stand tickets are your best bet for a truly democratic vantage point.

Fans of the club seek an atmosphere at Elland Road on match day. There is no better — and no more — intense place in the stadium than the South Stand, known affectionately as the Kop. It is the sort of intensity you must experience to truly understand. The Kop pulses with energy. It is a collective expression of support that is constantly in motion, a wave of sound, a figure we would not want to accurately describe in words lest we interfere with the magic. Yet, we will describe it anyway.

The upper tier of the East Stand is an excellent choice for premium comfort and sightlines that are second to none. From this vantage point, you have a commanding overview, and the amenities here are enhanced. Families with younger fans can take advantage of the family areas in the East Stand. They, too, can enjoy the comfort that is part and parcel of watching a game from this stand.

Elland Road Seating Chart

The classic layout of an English football stadium can be seen at Elland Road, which has four distinct stands. The largest is the East Stand, which has three tiers. The best seats in the house are in the central zones of this stand, which the northward traveler to the E17 stand will still have to pass through in order to have a look at the view from the halfway line.

The South Stand has a single tier, behind one goal. It places fans close to the action. The other end has an analogous North Stand, which also places fans nearer to the action.

The ground is complete with the West Stand, which has the player tunnels and the coaching boxes. The West Stand is popular, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for watching the coaching staff. The East Stand, with its direct views of the technical areas, is much better for that. The character of the stand seems to be more about the coaching staff than the players.

How to get to Elland Road

Parking at Elland Road

Parking at Elland Road can be difficult, especially on busy match days. The stadium has official parking, but these spaces are primarily designated for season ticket holders and staff associated with the club, making it all the more challenging for those who visit occasionally.

Leeds City Council operates several car parks nearby, including one about 500 meters from the stadium. These fill quickly and operate on a first-come, first-served basis, but remain reasonably priced for a Premier League location.

A stress-free alternative is using park-and-ride services designed for Elland Road events; these require advance ticket purchase and help avoid the hassle of close stadium parking. Regular users often find this the most convenient option.

Public Transportation to Elland Road

Public transport is often the best way to reach Elland Road, especially for big events. Most visitors travel to Leeds Railway Station, then use dedicated matchday services for the rest of their journey.

Special bus services link the city center to Elland Road on event days, with direct connections running several hours before kickoff and after the final whistle.

Leeds' regular bus routes also serve stops within walking distance of Elland Road. These lines offer greater scheduling flexibility and can be cheaper for small groups, though they require more planning than direct event buses.
