Experience world-class events at MEWA Arena!

Witness world-class events at the MEWA Arena! Positioned in the historic Rhine valley in Mainz, the arena represents a cutting-edge combination of German cultural tradition and modern urban development. The 34,000-seat facility is principally the home of the footballers of FSV Mainz 05, who left long-time residence in 2011 at the now-demolished Stadion am Bruchweg. Mainz's fans engage in easy-going, good-natured banter with visiting supporters as they enjoy first-rate onsite viewing conditions delivered by the arena's four-stand concept. The design brings spectators close to the action while supporting high-spec audio and visual systems that elevate both sporting and concert experiences. These modern, consumer-focused amenities — paired with robust security and transaction protections — create an environment focused on authenticity, convenience, and memorable participation for every attendee.

About MEWA Arena

MEWA Arena History

FSV Mainz 05 moved to the new four-stand facility in 2011, leaving the Stadion am Bruchweg behind. Since then the arena has functioned as a modern home for the club and a multipurpose venue for a wide range of sporting and cultural events. The design and layout prioritize spectator proximity and audiovisual quality, contributing to the venue's reputation as a modern, fan-centered facility.

MEWA Arena Facts and Figures

• Seating Capacity: 34,000 fans across four separate, self-contained structures (main grandstand, opposite stand, and two end stands).
• Interior Spatial Configuration: Each of the four structures can operate independently, allowing efficient crowd control for ingress, egress, and emergency procedures.
• Interior Comfort: Climate-controlled concourses and optional padded seating provide year-round comfort.
• Concourses and Seating: High-definition LED ribbon boards enable live action replays and interactive content for fans throughout the concourses.
• Safety and Accessibility: The arena complies with applicable EU safety directives, including provisions for secure wheelchair lanes and defined fire-safety zones.

Premium alternatives — such as Club Level sections — offer private lounges, complimentary refreshments, and exclusive merchandise access. For budget-conscious fans, upper-tier side seating provides solid sightlines and a lively atmosphere when occupied by organized supporter groups.

MEWA Arena Seating Guide

Best seats at MEWA Arena

Premium locations in the main stand provide enhanced amenities and close sightlines to the pitch, making them ideal for fans seeking comfort and hospitality. Club Level and hospitality areas deliver extra comforts like private lounges and added services. For those prioritizing atmosphere and budget, the upper tiers on the sides maintain good views and are often where the most vocal supporter groups gather.

MEWA Arena Seating Chart

The seating map divides the bowl into four distinct stands. The west "Main" stand houses the club's executive boxes, media facilities, and the main fan zone. The venue's interior color schemes and field surfacing reflect the club identity, and seating numbering is structured so that lower-level seat counts run across the venue. The layout supports both matchday segregation when required and flexible configurations for concerts and special events.

How to get to MEWA Arena

Parking at MEWA Arena

There is no direct car access to the arena's inner precinct; nearby parking areas such as the lot commonly referenced as "P9" serve as adjacent parking options. Fans who drive should expect a short walk from parking areas to the arena entrance. The city and venue intentionally promote alternative transport modes to reduce congestion and environmental impact.

Public Transportation to MEWA Arena

Mainz's public transportation network and dedicated shuttle services provide reliable connections to the arena on event days. The sustainability-minded local approach emphasizes using public transport over individual car travel, making it straightforward to reach the venue by train, tram, bus, or shuttles that operate with expanded schedules during events.
