100% Authentic Tickets with Buyer Protection

The platform used for secondary tickets requires sellers to present multiple forms of valid identification to confirm identity and ownership of tickets, and when necessary proof of residency that indicates the seller is legally able to resell the ticket. With these confirmation layers in place, buyers can approach entry with confidence: the checks make it unlikely that false claims have been made against the ticket before you enter the event. When a ticket requires a transfer or resale, the platform provides a secure process to handle it so you remain protected and can gain genuine access to the venue.

About RheinEnergie Stadion

Within Cologne, RheinEnergie Stadion is more than just a football venue; it exists as a living cultural monument. The story of the structure begins in 1923, when work crews started pouring concrete and laying bricks for a new building called Müngersdorfer Stadion. The site where the stadium rose was previously home to the Munzbachsprudel, a mineral spring popular with locals in the early 1900s. The architects Franz Schneider and his son Robert worked under the auspices of the city of Cologne, and the stadium grew into a regional sporting focal point over subsequent decades.

RheinEnergie Stadion History

Construction began in 1923 and the new facility established itself as a regional football venue through the mid-20th century. The stadium's evolution continued in phases: modest facilities and strong local enthusiasm in the early years; incremental upgrades as 1. FC Köln became a Bundesliga staple (including capacity expansion to around 50,000); and later redesigns intended to meet contemporary event standards. The name RheinEnergie Stadion became commonly used in the 2000s as sponsorship and redevelopments reshaped the venue's identity.

RheinEnergie Stadion Facts and Figures

The stadium's capacity expanded over time and is commonly reported at around 50,000 following upgrades.
