Experience world-class events at London Stadium!

The London Stadium, a structural wonder in East London, is a true gem within the British sporting landscape. Originally built as the centerpiece of the 2012 Olympic Games, this venue has transformed into one of the UK's go-to spots for any kind of large-scale event. On weekends, when the West Ham United Football Club calls the London Stadium home, the venue's electric atmosphere is something that, frankly, words can barely capture.

London Stadium holds world-class events, from exhilarating football games to awesome concerts. Its design is beautiful, from the bowl to the roof, but what really makes it a special place is that it feels good to be inside no matter the occasion. When a crowd is in, you can hardly do more than the venue does to make an audience feel electric.

The site is within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and its urban setting sharpens the excitement for fans who come from far and wide. If you're at the London Stadium to see a nail-biting moment in the Premier League or a truly epic concert, the chances are pretty good that the memories will resonate for quite a while after you leave.

About London Stadium

London Stadium History

London Stadium serves as the centerpiece for the 2012 Summer Olympics. It was built to hold the ceremonies and the athletics that would take place in it, and its current configuration allows for 80,000 spectators to look on. Those iconic summer games, held in the glorious sunshine of 2012, marked the beginning of its legacy.

Following the Olympic Games, the stadium evolved into a multi-purpose venue. The most significant transformation came in 2016, when West Ham United relocated to the venue from their Boleyn Ground after 112 years. This move marked a new chapter for both the football club and the stadium.

One of the world's largest cantilever roofs and retractable seating for event flexibility were installed. This preserved the Olympic legacy and transformed the arena into a complex that could host football and entertainment events.

London Stadium Facts and Figures

At present, London Stadium has the devices to accommodate 66,000 fans, for football at least. That's down from its Olympic-era capacity of 80,000, but it's enough to make it one of the Premier League's larger venues, atmospherically speaking, on match days.

The hybrid grass system that measures 105 by 68 meters meets the Premier League standards. Covering 84 percent of the seats, the roof protects visitors while offering an open-air experience.

One of the most adaptable arenas in the world, the stadium's retractable seating can move up to 18 meters, adjusting for football, athletics, and concerts. This engineering marvel ensures a perfect setting for any event.

London Stadium Seating Guide

Best seats at London Stadium

Selecting the appropriate seat can enhance your experience. Football devotees attempting to uncover authentic West Ham fervor need look no further than the Bobby Moore Stand, with its superb sightlines and crowd ambiance. The best middle rows (15-30) in this section of the stadium offer excellent and consistent viewing angles.

Seats in the aisle afford extra space and easy access to the concourses without losing any atmosphere. For those who like to keep it old school, sitting directly behind the action in either the Sir Trevor Brooking or Billy Bonds stand affords a clear look at whatever's going down on the pitch.

Ignore not the upper tiers. The stadium's design ensures that even the seats farthest from the field have clear sightlines, giving panoramic views ideal for tactical appreciation or full-stage perspectives at concerts.

London Stadium Seating Chart

Maximizing views and achieving a communal feel are the two essential elements of the design of the bowl-shaped seating. The architects divided the stadium into four primary public quarters or stands: East (Bobby Moore), West (Sir Trevor Brooking), North (Billy Bonds), and South.

The lower level wraps around the field to provide intimacy with the contest. The mid-level — on east and west sides — supplies the elbow space and elevation that many prefer, while the upper level delivers sweeping views thanks to a steeper angle.

East and west club seats and executive boxes offer unparalleled views along with extra perks. For concerts, the stage is usually at the north end, making the south and side stands prime locations.

How to get to London Stadium

Parking at London Stadium

The no-public-parking policy at London Stadium aids in staging smooth, successful events and, at the same time, promotes sustainable travel.

If driving is essential, it is advised to use the Stratford International Multistorey car park; booking in advance, however, is crucial — especially for large-scale events. Other parking options nearby charge much more around the time of events.

Disabled parking is available for Blue Badge holders with pre-booking, though spaces are limited. Most fans find London's top-tier public transport the easiest choice.

Public Transportation to London Stadium

The stadium is one of the most accessible in the world, thanks to London's public transport system. Whether travelling by Underground, Overground, bus, or on foot, fans can reach the stadium easily. This abundance of access routes helps to mitigate two common complaints about the event: parking and the environmental impact of all those cars.

Stratford station is the main transit hub that connects the Central and Jubilee Underground lines, along with the Overground, DLR, and National Rail. Direct and clearly marked routes guide passengers through Olympic Park and the Westfield shopping center to the stadium.

For visitors coming by high-speed trains, Stratford International is very handy. On days when there are big events, Transport for London oftentimes amps up its service frequency. The stadium's superb connections also help its international visitors, with direct trains to the major airports and the Eurostar.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to purchase London Stadium tickets?

Investigate listings that Ticombo updates frequently — ranging from events associated with the Premier League to concerts. Filter them by date, event, and price.

Interactive seating charts direct your selection; choose seats, confirm details, and proceed to secure checkout. Various payment options accommodate most preferences. Transactions are protected by leading security measures.

Following the purchase, tickets are available immediately in your choice of delivery format: mobile, PDF, or physical tickets. Our customer support team is ready to assist if you have any concerns throughout your experience.

How much are London Stadium tickets?

Event category determines price. Big Premier League match? Say bye-bye to your money. Headline concert? Not cheap either. Cup tie or something else? Then, you might pay less.

Where you sit also affects the price. The seats closest to the pitch and in the center are the most expensive. Then there's timing and demand: the day of a famous artist's concert or a local football derby and you're paying through the nose for those supposedly best seats.

The marketplace of Ticombo updates prices in real-time to show current demand. Tools for filtering assist in finding tickets that meet budget and experience.

What is the capacity of London Stadium?

For soccer, the London Stadium has a capacity of 66,000, which is among the largest in the league. Its original preset in Olympic format could accommodate more but provided poor sightlines and atmosphere. The London Stadium now gives fans better sightlines and a more intimate atmosphere.

Depending on the stage, capacity for concerts can reach 80,000. In configurations for athletics, adjustable seating numbers also are used to accommodate the format required.

Every arrangement is painstakingly planned to achieve the right mix of comfort and crowd size.

What time does London Stadium open on event days?

Typically, for a football match, the gates will open two hours before the stated kick-off time. This allows more than enough time for wave after wave of staggered entry to go through the security checks and for fans to arrive in a relaxed manner and take their seats in the stands. For a concert, the timing is often different. Depending on the artist and the level of production involved in their show, gates may open three hours in advance of concert time.

Getting to an event 60-90 minutes before it starts allows for enough breathing room to cover any unexpected transportation or security holdups and still get comfortably situated before the event really gets going.
