U2 Greatest Show on Earth Tour
On Thursday 15 October 2026, U2 released their new single "The Greatest Show On Earth" and announced dates for Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour 2027. Tickets for U2's Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour 2027 Latin America shows can be found below.
Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour will be U2's first stadium tour since The Joshua Tree Tour that ended in 2019, as well as the band's first shows since their Las Vegas residency ended in March 2024. It'll also see all four members of U2 performing – drummer Larry Mullen Jr missed the Sphere residency as he recovered from surgery.
The tour gets its Carnaval De Luz presents moniker from the title of U2's upcoming new album Carnaval De Luz. The twelve tracks (produced by Jacknife Lee) will see U2 working alongside Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois and marks their first new studio album in almost nine years – the last was 2017's Songs of Experience. Carnaval De Luz is due to be released 13 November 2026 via Interscope Records.
The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour will mark U2's first shows in Latin America since they visited on Joshua Tree Tour in October 2017. Read our review of U2's last visit to Mexico here.
Beck has been announced as the special support act for all currently-announced Greatest Show On Earth Tour dates.
More dates across the world including in North America and Europe will be announced "in the coming weeks".
As U2 have said:
"a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life"
"a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto"
"Sunday Bloody Sunday"
"New Year's Day"
"With or Without You"
"Unos, dos, tres, catorce"
More will no doubt emerge but for now here is more information on the tour including details on set list, staging and whether or not the (RED) Zone will be making a return.
U2 have spoken of the possibility of returning to Ireland to perform with bassist Adam Clayton hinting at a show in Dublin although details including venue have yet to be worked out.

U2 will be playing at both venues, which were both visited during the band's last visit on their Joshua Tree Tour back in 2017. In Mexico City the band played at what was then (before a name change in 2024) known as the Foro Sol while in São Paulo they performed at what was then named Morumbi Stadium.
U2 were formed in Dublin in 1976 when drummer Larry Mullen Jr put a notice up on a school noticeboard and Adam Clayton (bass) and The Edge (guitar – whose brother Dik was in the band originally but left in 1978) and lead singer Bono completed the line-up. U2 have won twenty-two Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
There's currently no start times confirmed for either of the shows in Buenos Aires.

The above Latin American shows are just an initial tranche of tour dates with further European and North American shows set to be announced "in the coming weeks".
So if you're based in Europe, the UK, in the United States or Canada, then there's still no tickets available to buy!
There are also rumblings of additional shows in some cities including in Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires but at this stage only six shows in Latin America have been confirmed.
U2 are also reported to be in talks about a Dublin show too although this is currently venue-less.
Keep an eye on this page and our other U2 Tour coverage as and when more U2 2027 tour dates are added – more tour dates and venues will appear above as soon as they are officially announced on U2.com
Three stadiums, all of them among the largest buildings their cities have.
Official floor plans for each stadium have not yet been announced by the band or promoter Live Nation. There are reports coming from South America suggesting the shows will follow a format of no seats behind the main stage and a pitch area broken up into various sections around a potential B-stage but this has yet to be confirmed.
However, these will follow a usual stadium format of standing (floor) tickets to gain access to the pitch and various tiers of seating higher up the stadium bowl. We would expect there to be some type of floor pricing too but whether there will be another charity focused area such as the previous (RED) Zone to help raise money for the (RED) organisation's fight against AIDS we do not know yet.
Official presale tickets will go on sale via U2.com subscribers presale on Monday 19 October 2026 with on sale times at 10am local time. The U2 2027 Tickets general on sale is on Thursday 22 October 2026 three days later.
If you cannot secure U2 2027 tour tickets during presale or the general on-sale period then you may be able to source some via fan to fan ticket sales websites. On resale sites such as Ticombo you can browse resale tickets from other fans who may be unable to attend the U2 show. These prices are set by the seller not Ticombo and you'll be able to see some seat/section information entered by the seller. We always recommend attempting to buy from the promoter first but Ticombo offers Order Protection so if your tickets don't arrive for whatever reason you will get your money back.
Formed in Dublin in 1976 when then schoolboy drummer Larry Mullen Jr pinned a notice on his school's noticeboard looking for fellow musicians to start a band, U2 have gone on to become one of rock music's most celebrated four-piece's.
Clayton and guitarist The Edge answered Mullen's call along with local lad Bono who completed the line-up that – apart from original guitarist and Edge's older brother Dik who left in 1978 – has stayed the same since.
After an initial punk-influenced sound, U2 quickly moved to more expansive arena-friendly songs and became one of the biggest rock bands in the world during the '80s and '90s with albums such as War, October, The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree, Rattle And Hum, Achtung Baby, Zooro and Pop earning them global acclaim and a raft of Grammy Awards – twenty-two in total – and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction (2005).
With Mullen absent from their 2023-2024 'UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere' Las Vegas residency following surgery (Utrecht-based Krezip's Bram van den Berg filling in), this will be the first time all four original members of U2 have performed together in some time.
After teasing their return, U2 are releasing the twelve track Carnaval De Luz on 13 November 2026 (twelve written and performed by U2, all produced by Jacknife Lee with U2 regular collaborators Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois appearing on the new album).
The band described the tour title as
The song that opens with a bassline and a held breath. Thirty-nine years on it is still the one the whole stadium sings without being asked.
Gospel structure, doubt as lyric. It has closed more U2 sets than almost anything else and it works at any size of room.
The 1983 song about Derry that the band spent decades being careful with. Rarely played in full in recent years, but when it appears it reframes the whole night.
From Achtung Baby, written while the band were close to breaking up in Berlin, and now their most covered song. Expect it.
The comeback single from All That You Can't Leave Behind in 2000, and the one that re-established them for a second generation.
The Edge's opening figure is the single most recognisable guitar sound the band has. It is almost always the song that starts the real part of the set.
From The Unforgettable Fire, and the clearest example of what U2 do when they aim a stadium at a subject.
The 2004 single that proved they could still write a riff that detonates in an arena. "Unos, dos, tres, catorce" also happens to be the most on-theme possible thing to shout in Mexico City.
U2's new album, Carnaval De Luz will be released on 13 November 2026 just three months ahead of the band kicking-off their new tour.
U2 shared details of the 12 track record produced by Grammy winner Jacknife Lee. The songs deal with themes of spirituality, friendship, freedom and survival. The band have already shared two songs from the album; lead track "Street Of Dreams" back in July and more recently, their second single "Silencio".
Fans will be waiting to see how many new songs U2 will perform on their 2027 tour but you can bet they'll kick off each show with at least a couple of tracks from Carnaval De Luz.
Ahead of the release of U2's upcoming album, Carnaval De Luz, the Irish rock band surprised fans with the releases of two EPs this year. The Days of Ash EP dropped on Ash Wednesday (18 February 2026) with U2's Easter Lily EP arriving on Good Friday.
The Days of Ash EP features a song called "Yours Eternally" which features vocals from Ed Sheeran and Taras Topolia. The Easter Lily EP closes with an instrumental version.

Tickets will be limited for this tour as U2 are only stopping-off in three cities on six announced dates, and it will likely be one of the hardest U2 tours to get tickets for in recent years.
As soon as tickets for U2's South American tour went on sale, fans headed to Ticombo, our fan-to-fan ticket marketplace. Prices change regularly, as tickets are listed by fellow fans at a price of their choosing. The most availability is usually right after tickets first go on sale and again closer to the show, typically in the last couple of weeks. Ticombo offers guarantees to both buyers and sellers.
On 15 October 2026, U2 announced their first six tour dates since 2019, kicking off in February 2027, three months after the release of their new album, Carnaval De Luz on 13 November 2026. Drummer, Larry Mullen Jr missed most of U2's 2023-24 Las Vegas residency whilst he recovered from surgery but will be back on drum kit alongside The Edge and Adam Clayton on tour next year. Dates in North America and Europe haven't been announced yet, but we expect to see more cities added to U2's 2027 tour soon!
On 18 February 2026 (Ash Wednesday), U2 released The Days of Ash EP, followed on Good Friday by the Easter Lily EP as a complete surprise, as the EP wasn't even announced in advance! U2 released the song "Street Of Dreams" in July as a lead single and on 27 September confirmed that Carnaval De Luz closes with "Torn", and that the band had recorded a duet with Dolly Parton on a track titled Torn, which would be her final ever recording!
On 15 October 2026, U2 announced a new album and a tour at the same time. The album is Carnaval De Luz, and the tour is Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour 2027. Tickets for the first six shows in Latin America are now available to order. Read on for details...
Tickets for the first six U2 tour dates will be available to subscribers from U2.com from 10am (local time) on Monday 19 October 2026 and will then be on general sale via U2.com from 10am on Thursday 22 October 2026 (local time).
Grammy winning artist and headliner Beck supports U2 on all six dates announced so far. From Odelay to Morning Phase, Beck's eclectic catalogue defies genre and resonates with millions worldwide.
Of course! The album tracklisting has been revealed and includes the aforementioned "Street Of Dreams", the previously released "The Mirror Maker" featuring Rosalía, "The Greatest Show On Earth" (directed by Anton Corbijn) plus "Glorify" (with Martin Garrix) and "Silencio", co-written with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder who also contributed to the production. There are further collaborations on "Torn" with Dolly Parton, pedal steel from Daniel Lanois on "Torn" and appearances from Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid and Ukrainian folk singer Taras Topolia.
Definitely! It will mark U2's return to stadia, since the band haven't toured theatres or arenas since 2019 and their incredible U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere show closed a residency of forty shows in March 2024. U2 are famous for their jaw-dropping stage productions which have developed and evolved over the band's four decades on tour, as well as for Bono's topical references to politics and charity work. Prepare to be blown away by yet another 'riot of colour'!
