04 September 2026 - 30 May 2027
Get La Liga tickets for the 2026/27 season which kicks off in August 2026. This Spanish football competition ends on 30 May 2027. The competition features 20 teams that will play 380 matches between them over ten months. The tournament includes matches in various stadiums, including the Santiago Bernabéu, which was reconstructed in 2023, and the newly constructed stadium, El Sardinero. Barcelona won the previous 2025/26 season to claim their 29th national title and will enter the 2026/27 campaign as defending champions. Real Madrid will be looking to take first place next year while three teams are back in the Primera División – Racing de Santander (after 14 seasons out), Deportivo de La Coruña (back after eight seasons away) and Málaga (via the promotion play-offs). From El Clásico to the Madrid derby and an evening in Vigo, you can get La Liga tickets for all 20 clubs. Each listing on TiCombo comes with ticket authenticity verification and purchase protection.
Known officially as the Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División, La Liga is the highest level of Spanish football and has produced more European Cup winners than any other league. Twenty clubs compete in La Liga, playing each other twice (home and away) for a total of 38 games per team. A win awards three points, a draw one and a loss zero. The three lowest-placed teams are relegated to the Segunda División, while the top five automatically qualify for the Champions League due to the high ranking of Spanish clubs in the UEFA rankings. Other Spanish teams earn entry into the Europa League and Conference League.
Unlike many other leagues around the world, La Liga is not known for prolific goal scoring, but for the quality of football played. Teams pass the ball with precision, apply pressure in a measured way and play with tact and intelligence. It's a different experience when you buy La Liga tickets: the version of the game on display is vastly superior.
The tournament began in 1929 and consisted of 10 teams. Barcelona were the first ever winners, beating Athletic Bilbao to the title. The Basque club won five successive titles in the 1930s until the Spanish Civil War caused a hiatus in the competition. Real Madrid emerged as the dominant force in the immediate aftermath of the war, winning the next decade with Alfredo Di Stéfano and Ferenc Puskás leading the way and carrying their success into European competition.
Today, the league is mostly defined by two teams and the fierce rivalry between them. Real Madrid have won the most La Liga titles – 36 in total – thanks to several dynasties including the 'Quinta del Buitre' of the 1980s, the Galácticos era of the 2000s and Zinedine Zidane as manager. Barcelona are next with 29 titles, dating back to the Johan Cruyff revolution, the Pep Guardiola era with Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernández and Andrés Iniesta and, most recently, the rebuilding phase. Atlético Madrid sit in third with 11 crowns under their belt, the most recent coming in 2021 when Diego Simeone led the side to glory. The rest of the La Liga championship winners include Athletic Club, Valencia and Real Sociedad.
Twenty teams, 38 rounds, 380 fixtures, August to May. Three points for a win, one for a draw. Matches are scheduled over the course of a week from Friday to Monday to accommodate television schedules, so a weekend trip to Spain could well involve watching matches in two different cities.
Five places in La Liga qualify for the Champions League, with the next five placed teams and the Copa del Rey winners qualifying for the Europa League and the ninth placed team entering a play-off for a Conference League spot. The bottom three teams are relegated and replaced by the top two teams in the second division alongside the winners of a play-off between the other four.
Barcelona won the 2025/26 season as champions with 29 titles, beating Real Madrid after winning eleven consecutive games in the middle of the campaign. Kylian Mbappé won the Pichichi trophy with 25 goals, while Joan García was named the best goalkeeper in the league conceding an average of 0.70 goals per match. Barcelona's largest victory of the season was a 6-0 win at home against Valencia, and the highest attended match was Real Madrid vs Barcelona with an attendance of 78,107 at the Santiago Bernabéu in October as they won 2-1.
Teams that qualified for European competition include Barcelona, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Atlético Madrid and Real Betis who qualified for the Champions League. Real Sociedad reached the Europa League after winning the Copa del Rey alongside Celta de Vigo, and Getafe qualified for the Conference League play-off. Teams relegated included Real Oviedo, Girona and Mallorca.
Barcelona are the defending champions and look to repeat the possession-based style of play they deployed last season. Their Camp Nou fixtures have the most tickets listed for any venue in Spain, with over 12,300 tickets available across their home fixtures right now. Real Madrid will look to regain the title, with Mbappé fresh off a 25 goal Pichichi and the Santiago Bernabéu routinely having over 1,000 tickets listed per match.
Atlético Madrid are the third strongest team in the league, and the most difficult side to beat with a streak of 13 consecutive matches without a loss last season. Villarreal and Real Betis return to the Champions League, Real Sociedad come in as Copa del Rey winners and Athletic Club continue to do it with Basque players only. Of the promoted teams, Racing de Santander and Deportivo de La Coruña are two of the biggest travelling fan bases in Spanish football.
Match days in Spain start late and gradually build up. With 21:00 kick offs, the afternoon is spent in the plazas and bars outside the stadium, and the journey to the stadium is done in darkness with fans already singing. No broadcast can truly capture that.
Each stadium has its own character, with the recently renovated Bernabéu and Camp Nou being feats of engineering on a scale most stadiums in the world cannot compare. The San Mamés and El Sadar are newly built, but designed to amplify the atmosphere. The Mestalla is notoriously steep, the Vallecas is tiny and the crowd is directly involved with the action, and the El Sardinero and Riazor each offer a type of passion that only a smaller club can generate. Purchasing La Liga tickets in Bilbao is a different experience to purchasing them in Seville, and that is the point.
All listings are vetted prior to publication, and payments are secured in escrow until the tickets are confirmed received. Buyer protection applies if a seller does not fulfil the order, the tickets do not correspond with the description, or the match is cancelled.
Spanish clubs issue through socio subscriptions first, and for El Clásico, the Madrid derby and the Seville derby, there is essentially no general sale available. The verified resale market is the only way most overseas fans make it into the stadium — and it is the only way to be certain of avoiding the fakes sold to unsuspecting supporters outside every large Spanish stadium on game day.
La Liga 2026/27 ticket costs depend on four factors: the match, the club's local demand, the seat category, and the timing of purchase.
On the lower end, Real Betis home fixtures begin at roughly €70-€72, Atlético Madrid matches versus average teams start at €82-€103, Espanyol starts at around €87, and Sevilla starts at around €92. Even Real Madrid's less interesting home fixtures start in the €169-€260 range, which is reasonable considering the capacity of the stadium.
The expensive matches are limited by availability, not by prestige. El Clásico at Camp Nou on 25 October begins at approximately €975, the Madrid derby at the Metropolitano on 20 September at approximately €524, and Atlético vs Barcelona in November at approximately €423.
The takeaway here is that the smaller stadiums are more expensive, not cheaper. Home matches at Racing de Santander, Getafe, Villarreal and Málaga usually start in the €650-€790 range because so few tickets are released — El Sardinero and the Coliseum put up a fraction of what the Bernabéu releases. If a newly promoted team's venue is on your itinerary, purchase the ticket before you purchase the big-name fixture.

Match schedules are released six to eight weeks in advance of the season, but specific dates and times are not finalised until four to six weeks before each match, after TV and European obligations have been factored in. This staggered schedule is the one thing you need to know about purchasing La Liga tickets.
For El Clásico, the Madrid derby, or the Seville derby, purchase immediately when they are available. Those games will never become cheaper. For other matches, three to six weeks in advance is optimal, when socios who cannot attend are offloaded, and prices remain relatively low. Weekday games and early-season matches are the cheapest of the calendar.
One caution: because match times are published so late, a game you plan to attend on a Saturday afternoon may be rescheduled to a Sunday evening. If you are planning a trip to see a particular match, reserve a day in case of scheduling changes, and verify the final match time before purchasing airline tickets.
Barcelona will begin the 2026/27 season as champions following their 29th championship, having gone on an 11-game winning run midway through the previous campaign. Kylian Mbappé was the top scorer in La Liga 2025/26 with 25 goals for Real Madrid, while Joan García was named the best goalkeeper. Five La Liga clubs qualify for the Champions League: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Atlético Madrid and Real Betis. Real Sociedad and Celta de Vigo have qualified for the Europa League and Getafe will compete in the Europa Conference League. Racing de Santander will make their return to La Liga after a 14-year absence, as winners of the Segunda División. Deportivo de La Coruña will be promoted after eight years in the second tier and Málaga will replace one of the three relegated teams through the playoffs. The first weekend of action takes place on 16 August with Real Madrid hosting Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu, Atlético Madrid welcoming Málaga at the Metropolitano and Sevilla playing host to Rayo Vallecano. The first El Clásico will take place at Camp Nou on 25 October with the reverse fixture scheduled for the Santiago Bernabéu on 9 May 2027.
Tickets for home games with Real Betis start from €70 while matches between Atlético Madrid and mid-table opposition start from €82. The cheapest price for El Clásico is near €975 and the derby between Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid begins at about €524. Matches at smaller venues such as the Estadio El Sardinero and the Estadio Ciudad de Zaragoza can be more expensive than this, as there are fewer tickets available and demand is higher. Tickets for these games start from over €650.
Select a team or a specific game, narrow down your selection using the filters, select your seat category and price range, then check out. Most La Liga tickets are sold electronically; however, some clubs still issue paper tickets that will be sent to you via tracked delivery. No La Liga club membership is required.
Yes. Spanish clubs tend to give priority to their members and some of the biggest fixtures may not be sold to the general public at all. A trusted ticketing site can help you find supporters who have seats that they cannot attend and are looking to sell them to international visitors. This is how many people get tickets for La Liga.
La Liga announces its complete fixture list approximately six to eight weeks prior to the start of the season. Exact dates and times for games are confirmed four to six weeks before the game itself. Ticket listings on secondary markets usually go live immediately once the schedule is released and stay open until kick-off time.
The 2026/27 La Liga season begins in August 2026 and concludes on 30 May 2027. There are 38 matchdays played during the season, with the first weekend of action taking place on 16 August 2026.
Seventeen teams from the previous season remain in La Liga alongside Racing de Santander, Deportivo de La Coruña and Málaga, who replace Real Oviedo, Girona and Mallorca, who were relegated. Links to all 20 teams are provided below.
Your tickets are valid for the new date. Should the match be cancelled entirely, you are covered under our buyer protection policy and receive a full refund. Match times are often changed in Spain to accommodate television coverage, so double-check the final scheduled time before making any travel plans.
